It is important for all newborn babies and preterm infants to have a warm cosy environment and as much contact with their parents as possible. The Variotherm and Thermocare range have been designed specifically for these conditions, allowing full access for diagnostic, therapeutic and nursing procedures to be carried out.

The device with under-pad heating only is used for the thermal support of babies, application of oxygen and for keeping the baby warm during phototherapy. Equipped with an infra-red radiant warmer and the specific accessories it is very suitable for resuscitation or intensive care of small preterm infants. Variotherm devices have low Perspex walls and are intended to be used as open care systems. Thermocare devices are designed as closed systems with high Perspex walls and a canopy.
